A Hale and Hearty Greeting, Campers!

Folks call me "Lumber" Jack Hayward 'cause I've been an axe-slinging woodcutter who's cried "Timber!" all over this great country. As a woodsman, I've camped just about everywhere trees are found and, let me tell you, I love the wonderful camping to be found in the Wisconsin Northwoods, especially the St. Croix Scenic Riverway area around Hayward. And the best Hayward camping to be had is right here at Hayward KOA!

When the managers of Hayward KOA asked me to be their Website "tour guide," I was flattered. I'm not some fancy spokesperson; I'm just regular folk like you.

Hayward KOA is dedicated to providing you with a complete Hayward camping experience! While here, you will enjoy:

NAMEKAGON RIVER & NELSON LAKE WATER SPORTS
Hayward KOA is just minutes from the Namekagon River, part of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway and only 3 miles from Nelson Lake. Get out on the water and enjoy:

Canoeing, Kayaking & Tubing - Paddle or float your way along the Namekagon River.
Fishing - Anglers will want to bring their rod & reel to cast into the clear waters and haul in Brown & Brook Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Walleyes, Saugers, Northern Pike, Muskellunge, Catfish, Suckers, Sturgeon, Carp and Pan Fish.

KAMPGROUND FUN
You don't have to leave the Hayward KOA grounds to find a good time. Why, there's a whole passel of enjoyment to be had right here:

300 Foot Waterslide - More fun than riding timber down the river to the mill!
Heated Swimming Pool - Beats a cold swimming hole any day!
Two Playgrounds - Turn your "little lumberjacks" loose on their special play areas!
Jumping Pillow - The Jumping Pillow will provide hours of safe family fun. Suitable for children and adults alike!
Please Note: Pool and Waterslide are open daily Memorial Day through Labor Day. Pool is also open one week after Labor Day, weather permitting. An additional fee is required for Waterslide, Jumping Pillow, Mini Golf, Tubing, and Canoeing.
